Madeline Smith

After graduating from the QLD College of Art and Design, I began my career as a designer and once doing AWARD School, I fell in love with the ‘idea’ and made my move into advertising.

I then spent over 15 years at 3 of Australia’s top agencies rising from Art Director to CD. As a CD I find it very rewarding working with enthusiastic, talented, young creatives and love to assist in bringing their ideas to life. While I'm proud of the many pitches I've helped to win, I'm more proud of the young creatives I've helped to bloom.

I'm a collaborative creative who loves working with world-class creative and digital strategists, directors, photographers, musicians, illustrators, designers and artists.

I have worked on pretty much every category – from, bras to biccys, little babies to big countries, booze - and everything in-between. On brands that are considered some of Australia’s favourite; Tim Tam, Bonds and, well, Australia. The work has been described as 'culturally relevant' and spans every medium, collaborating with Digital, Social and PR experts – whatever it takes to bring a story or message to life that is unique to that brand and involves their audience.

My work has been recognised at Cannes, Spikes, Effies, AWARD and Media Awards as well as in the Design, Book and Record Publishing industries. Here’s some of the work I love but I truly believe my best is yet to come.
